Clout

Clout archery consists of shooting at a target laid out on the ground at long distance. The target is 15 m in diameter and has a flag to mark the centre of the target. Single clout consists of 6 ends of 6 arrows, double clout is 12 ends of 6 arrows. Clout archery can also be shot as one way or two way.

Gents = 180 yrds
Ladies = 140yrds
Juniors = 100 yrds

Wand

A wand target is 5cm wide and 2 m high and is made of thick foam. There are no scoring zones, a hit scores one point.

Gents = 100 yrds
Ladies = 80yrds
Juniors = 60 yrds

Field - FITA

A FITA field tournament is a two day event consisting of unmarked and marked rounds. Each round consists of 12 or 24 targets, with 3 arrows shot at each target. The Field range is usually laid out in a forest with targets arranged to provide the maximum variety and difficulty of shots. Targets can be set-up on the side of hils, down hills, across water etc. Target sizes are 20cm (bunnies), 40cm, 60cm and 80cm and archers shot from one of three coloured pegs depending on their age and bow style.

Field - Animal

2D animal targets are used in much the same way as the FITA round. Scoring is different, arrows are marked 1, 2 and 3. If you hit the scoring zone with arrow 1 you do not need to shot another arrow. If you miss, you move forward to the next shooting peg and shoot your second arrow and so on. Scoring is based on where you hit with which arrow.
